Solution Architect

Sounds great! What exactly am I going to do?

As a Solution Architect, the primary responsibility is to design and architect end-to-end solutions that meet the technical and business requirements of clients. Leveraging deep expertise in networking technologies, cloud platforms, and security principles, Solution Architects collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges. They translate business objectives into comprehensive solution architectures, encompassing network infrastructure, cloud services, security, and scalability. With a focus on innovation and client satisfaction, Solution Architects play a crucial role in driving successful solution delivery and business outcomes.

Your main responsibilities as a Solution Architect are:

Understanding Business Requirements:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals, technical requirements, and challenges.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions that align with Nomios objectives and portfolio.

Designing Solutions:

• Architect end-to-end solutions that encompass network infrastructure, cloud services, security, and scalability.
• Develop detailed solution architectures, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
• Co-write high-level designs for large and strategic customers, owning and monitoring project outcomes from a technical perspective.

Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate closely with internal teams, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
• Serve as a liaison between sales teams and technical teams, offering support by providing technical expertise and solution insights.

Business Development:

• Actively seek commercial engagements and lead generation opportunities.
• Regularly review architectures, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to capitalize on them.

Technical Expertise:

• Advise on execution methods to optimize workflows and identify sales opportunities.
• Possess deep knowledge of networking technologies, cloud platforms, and security principles.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to design innovative solutions.

Client Engagement:

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting solutions, addressing concerns, and building strong relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to understand client needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  

Interesting! What knowledge and experience do I need for this?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required)
• Proficiency in architecting solutions using cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to understand and interpret client needs, and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in creating architectural diagrams, documentation, and technical specifications.
• Analytical mindset to identify complex problems and formulate innovative solutions.
• Ability to evaluate multiple options and make informed decisions based on technical feasibility, business impact, and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements to design secure and compliant architectures.
• Experience in implementing security controls, encryption, access controls, and identity management solutions.
• Collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Customer-centric approach to prioritize customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
