Your role as a Senior Financial Controller:

As a senior finance professional, you combine financial control and business control responsibilities. You operate in an international environment (70% English / 30% German) and report directly to the CFO (NL, DE, BE), while closely collaborating with the Group CFO and other controllers.

Financial Control

  • Ensure accurate local accounting (local GAAP) and Group reporting (IFRS)

  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

  • Prepare accruals, provisions, and reconciliations

  • Support audits and maintain strong financial controls

Business Control & FP&A

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Deliver monthly reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis

  • Provide variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast)

  • Act as business partner to management on performance and margins

Process & Improvement

  • Improve finance processes and internal controls

  • Drive automation and reporting efficiency

  • Support finance transformation initiatives

Stakeholder Management

  • Main finance contact for Germany

  • Work closely with CFO (NL/DE/BE), Group CFO, and international controllers

  • Partner with local management and external auditors

Additional requirements include:

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance / Controlling / Audit

·       Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles

·       Experience with budgeting, forecasting and FP&A

·       Advanced Excel skills (Power BI is a plus)

·       Fluent in German and English
