Job Summary:

Highly skilled and certified network security engineer and/or Experienced Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer with over 5 years of experience in managing, troubleshooting complex network security systems. Proficient in Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet, CheckPoint, Juniper, Cisco security technologies. Skilled in managing network and security infrastructure, ensuring secure, optimal performance, and delivering high-quality technical support. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security appliances performance and health using advanced monitoring tools to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
• Continuously monitor security systems to detect and respond to security incidents promptly. Maintain and update firewall rules and policies.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex security issues related to firewalls and network security appliances.
• Analyze network security appliances performance metrics and provide reports to management for capacity planning and optimization.
• Respond to network security appliances alerts and escalations, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries and technical issues via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide step-by-step guidance and solutions to technical problems.
• Implement network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in Fortinet, or Palo Alto, or F5, or Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, Juniper JNCIS/P/E-SEC are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and technologies (IPSec, SSL/TLS, IDS/IPS, VPN, etc.).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE (4-7), Palo Alto Networks PCNSE, F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator, Checkpoint CCSA/CCSE Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, Juniper JNCIS/P/E-SEC are highly desirable.

• Patience and empathy in dealing with customers.
• Attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and in English.
