Network Support Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Network Support Engineer with expertise in supporting networks using Juniper, Arista, and Cisco technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving tickets, supporting our service provider and enterprise customers, and working on various network projects. You will collaborate closely with our Service Delivery Management (SDM) team and the project teams to ensure seamless network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve network support tickets, including opening, updating, and closing tickets within the service desk system.
• Provide technical support for Juniper, Arista, and Cisco networking equipment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with the SDM team to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Participate in network projects, working alongside the project teams to implement new solutions and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Document network changes, configurations, and support procedures for future reference and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a network support role, with a focus on Juniper, Arista, and Cisco products.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience in working with ticketing systems and managing customer support interactions.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VPN, and VLAN.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent.
• Experience with network automation tools and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN solutions and cloud networking concepts.

Job Specifics:

This role may require occasional on-call duties and flexibility with working hours, especially during major incidents. Some travel may be required to customer sites or other company locations.
