Job description

We are Nomios! Our purpose is to make sure that every company in Europe is and stays “secure & connected”. With our expertise in cybersecurity and network infrastructure, we build secure digital infrastructures. Already for more than 20 years, with 1200+ Nomios experts in 10 European countries. And we’re still expanding! Because we don’t intend to slow down, we’re searching for exceptional talents to join our team and make Nomios even smarter and better. Are you our new:

Microsoft Security Engineer

What would your job entail?

At Nomios, we're building a new practice around Microsoft security audits, as part of the continued growth of our services portfolio. As a Microsoft Security Engineer, you assess the security posture of our customers' Microsoft environments and help them understand where they stand — and what to do next.

Concretely, you perform technical scoping and security baseline assessments across Microsoft environments: user and identity management, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel and Azure. You analyse whether these environments are set up securely, correctly, and in line with best practices. Your findings feed into a gap analysis, from which you formulate clear advice and recommendations. Implementation of these recommendations is then picked up by our teams.

The role combines engineering with direct customer contact. Your focus lies on Microsoft environments, but because the improvement trajectories that follow from your audits and gap analyses often extend beyond Microsoft, you'll need genuine interest in, and understanding of, the other vendors and technologies in Nomios' broader portfolio.

In short:

  • Perform technical scoping and security baseline assessments of customers' Microsoft environments (identity & user management, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure).

  • Analyse whether these environments are securely, correctly, and properly configured against best practices.

  • Conduct gap analyses and translate your findings into clear, actionable advice and recommendations.

  • Hand over validated recommendations to our implementation teams, whether within the Microsoft ecosystem or through other tools and partner solutions.

  • Build and maintain a solid understanding of, and interest in, the other vendors and technologies in Nomios' portfolio that support the broader improvement trajectories following your audits.

  • Help shape and grow this new Microsoft security audit practice within Nomios.

Job requirements

What are we looking for in our Microsoft Security Engineer?

  • At least 5 years of experience working within Microsoft environments

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft security and identity technologies, such as identity & user management, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel and Azure. Relevant Microsoft certifications are a strong plus.

  • Genuine interest in, and openness to, other cybersecurity vendors and technologies beyond the Microsoft stack.

  • You work independently, can set out your own plan of approach, and see an audit through from scoping to advice.

  • Strong analytical skills, combined with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant recommendations.

  • You're just as comfortable diving deep into technical analysis on your own as you are presenting findings to a customer.

  • You are fluent in English, and in French and/or Dutch.

  • You already live in Belgium, which makes it easy to come to our office in Zaventem.

Interesting? What’s in it for you?

In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect the following:

  • Company car, charging card in Belgium, phone, laptop, insurances, FIP plan, …
